Don't judge a book by it's cover

This I'm on this soap box again because so few people are.

This was made concerning the people who call others fake without knowing them. This is referring to the assumption that physical appearance means mental fake-ness basically accusing a person they've never meet of being a bitch in sheep's clothing or two-faced without ever getting to know them.

Back when I was in high school I saw this a lot. I wasn't all that popular until the late half of the senior year, so I had a lot of outcast friends and these were some of the fakest people you'd meet. They weren't outcasts for being different they were outcast because they were self-absorbed jerks to anyone who had more popularity then they did.

With the exception of two or three people the popular (jocks, cheerleaders) and cool kids were some of the sweetest, nicest, most compassionate and "coolest" people I had ever meet ( Some were even a bit nerdy). And of course once I started being friends with them a lot of the outcasts who ere my so called friends started treating me with scorn for no reason other than I was popular with the popular kids. Kids who by the way never had a bad thing to say about the unpopular ones. Granted I found this was not always the case talking with people who didn't attend my school or my graduating class but still.

So yeah, personal history aside. People like to assume and make stuff in in there heads. Judge books by their covers and all that stuff. Which has always been a pet peeve of mine. Next time instead of judging a book by it's cover, try reading it.
