Shakura in Prayer -Flat color-

 Shakura praying and making an offering to the ancestor spirits of her tribe as she asks for guidance and protection for her journey ahead. The lion behind the tree is Malwii her guardian spirit, everyone born into her tribe who passed the rites has a spirit like this and this spirit acts as a link back to the tribe. Shakura is linked to Malwii and Malwii is linked directly to the Taka tribe's obelisk to which all guardians and by extension all members of the Taka tribe that passed the rites linked.

It's nice to finally draw Malwii, he's in the story as much as Shakura, I'm surprised it's taken me this way to show him off. Also while I use the term him and lion, he's sexless and more spirit in the shape of a lion than an actual lion.

For those wondering why she's in her first outfit and not her newest one, that's because her new outfit is something she only acquires after making a name for herself a traveling ambassador from her tribe, this is more her starting gear as this scene takes place in like the 2nd chapter of the original draft.
