I've decided to clean out my featured art folder a bit, to just the works which I feel are my best and a big reason for this is I think for the next month or so I will not be coloring any pieces. For the time being most uploads will be doodles, sketches, experiments, line arts and extra as I practice and try to improve my style, and expand what I can do as I feel my style is becoming more and more static.
As a result uploads will likely be more frequent as I can produces doodles and sketches much faster than line arts and colored pieces. This is being done for my benefit, and sketches will be a wide variety of things though I'm open to suggestions on what to draw as well, but like with requests there is no promise they'll ever be done.
I'll also have more time to draw as I'm once again unemployed, I'll of course be looking for more work but I don't think fast paced jobs are for me, I also may consider re-opening commissions. And on a side note I may be making contact with a couple artists I wish to do art trades with in the future as well.
RWBY:
In other news last night well technically early this morning I watched and finished RWBY up to the current episode and I am in fricken love, the music, the fight scenes, the characters, the WEAPONS! I have fallen so hard for this series so quickly, I want the rest of season 2 and that game so badly now.
If anyone wants to talk, collab, or role player RWBY I'm down, I already have OC's, teams, weapons, crossovers and a fate conversion rocketing around in my head. My in box and comments are open. Also favorite character is Ruby, followed by Yang and Blake in a tie, favorite weapons SunWakong's, the spear rifle, and then Yang's.
Alpha Readers:
On a different topic, I have complied the first five edited draft chapters of my novel together and I'm looking for alpha readers.
It's an Urban fantasy Young Adult lit set in very near feature japan. It has both a male and female protagonist, and deals with themes like redemption, vengeance, forgiveness, suicide, bullying. If you rather a classic "X meets Y" descriptor it's "X-men meets Death-Note". Either way if that interests you send me a note and we can talk more.

New Job! Happy Pride
Long time no journal. After a long bout of unemployment I have found work as of last week and already started working there. I'm not a huge fan of the place, or their expectations but the location is nice. The structure of a job will be good though, once I figure out how to adjust energy levels after shifts and during my work week again. That way I can manage being creative, keeping up with media and interacting with folks. Sadly, it is in person work. However, part time and I'm wearing my N95's for every shift. Not just for Covid, but also because I don't want any dust to get in my sinuses and cause any issues. Additionally, Happy Pride month!
Shakura's Sunset 6th Anniversary
6 Years ago today I started posting my webtoon/webcomic and to this day it's 50+ page run is still one of my proudest accomplishments https://www.deviantart.com/vyctorian/art/Shakura-s-Sunset-Page-1-557961488 In lieu of flowers, do something creative. I was motivated to do so by the passing of Monty Oum (Dead Fantasy, Haloid, RWBY) earlier in that year. Thank you, Monty. We'll always miss you.
Devious Journal Entry
I bought my first art tablet with a screen display and just holding it in my hands I felt the symbolic weight it carried with it like when I got got my first art tablet.
That "holy shit, I AM an artist" internal validation, followed by a sense of responsibility and determination that isn't super intense but comes from deep down and shifts your expressions and thought process instantly and instantly evaporates any buyers remorse and questions on if this was the right purchase.
I haven't waned philosophically on art and being an artist for a while at least not in written (for consumption form) but it's always on my mind.

On one hand, I would love to read your story and give feedback, but on the other I am... unreliable. Either I'm ALL OVER EVERYTHING FOREVER or I'm so quiet about everything I basically stop existing, heh. I hope you can find some peeps to help you out!
